Black Belt Grading

I am very pleased to announce that Sempai Sam Canning with be graded for his shodan (1st dan) on Monday July 1st at the dojo. The dojo will be open from 5.00pm and the grading will begin from 5.30. The last time we had a JWK black belt grading was in the 1980s. Peole who have earned a JWK black belt in Byron Bay are Greg Light, Fairlie Beckner, Peter McKinvon and Mark Animat. There is a great tradition for Sam to follow and continue. You are all welcome to watch the grading that Sensei/Sifu that Chan Cheuk Fai will be attending.
