Dojo Mats Fundraiser
We are looking to buy mats like those used at karate tournaments for our dojo and looking for small contributions from our members who will benefit from it. We will cover all the dojo floor for safety and performance. 1. Anyone competing in tournaments in kata and/or kumite will be used to the surface they will compete on. 2. We will be better able to run seminars like Master Chan Cheuk Fai’s Combat Seminar 3. They will allow me to reach throws. 4. Brighten up the dojo and make it far more photogenic.
I will pay most of the cost with some senior students making a substantial contribution and thought I’d offer other students or parents to make a small contribution. We plan to buy them pick them up and have them ready for next week or the week after. This means we will have them set up for your next grading, Sam’s grading, and Cheuk Fai’s Combat Seminar July 6.
